Terms of Reference




To review upcoming award competitions and identify appropriate nominees and nominators from the Department.

Meeting schedule

The committee will meet quarterly:
February – for April, May June deadlines
May – for July, August, September deadlines
August – for October, November, December deadlines
November – f or January, February, March deadlines

Role of Admin Assistant:
a) Review yearly the awards list and separate list for each meeting of what should be reviewed each quarter.
b) Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, book rooms, etc.
c) Assist in the preparation of the letters/award nomination packages for nominations submitted by the Department Head.
d) Follow up with nominators.
e) Create and maintain a master list of nominees (include nominee’s name, rank, division, nominator’s name, name of award, year of nomination, indicate whether or not the nominee was the award recipient) to be used by committee when selecting members.
