Dr. Andrew Krahn has been appointed the new Head of the Division of Cardiology in the Department of Medicine, the Sauder Family and Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC & Yukon Chair in Cardiology, and the Paul Brunes UBC Professor in Heart Rhythm Disorders.
The Department of Medicine is thrilled to welcome Dr. Krahn’s expertise in treatment of and research into cardiac arrhythmias. His research into genetic components of irregular heartbeats and his experience in province-wide leadership are invaluable contributions to the Department and the Faculty. This appointment also re-affirms the Faculty of Medicine research priority in Heart and Lung Health.
