Congratulations to Dr. Harpinder Nagi (Division of General Internal Medicine) who was selected for the Canadian Association for Medical Education (CAME) Certificate of Merit Award for 2023.
Each year, the CAME Certificate of Merit is awarded to three UBC Faculty of Medicine faculty members who have made a valuable contribution to medical education in the Faculty of Medicine.
Dr. Nagi is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of General Internal Medicine. He has completed his Certificate in Medical Education and his Diploma in Medical Education at the University of Dundee. Dr. Nagi has made significant administrative contributions to the Department in the role as VGH Discipline Specific Site Lead as well as contributing within the GIM Division on the Ambulatory Education Initiative group. Dr. Nagi continues to contribute to scholarly work focused on improving the educational experience of students, residents and fellows in the GIM ambulatory setting.
Dr. Nagi was appointed as the Program Director of the Department of Medicine’s Undergraduate Education Program on November 3, 2018.
