Dr. Prior’s vision is to reframe scientific knowledge of the menstrual cycle and ovulation in a woman-centred context and to integrate ovulation into Women’s Health knowledge and clinical practice.

  • Menstrual cycles—epidemiology, length, variability and women’s usual cycle-related experiences
  • Ovulation and luteal phase length documentation and epidemiology
  • Adaptive, reversible hypothalamic reproductive suppression and its management
  • Bone health and osteoporotic fracture in epidemiology and relationships with progesterone and ovulation
  • Hot flushes and night sweats (vasomotor symptoms, VMS) physiology, lifecycle and therapy
  • Progesterone effects on VMS, sleep problems and symptomatic perimenopause; Cyclic Progesterone Therapy for Hypothalamic Ovulatory Disturbances and Polycystic Ovary Syndrome
