Associate Member Appointment
Associate Member is an unofficial position given to a faculty member when there is a need for members of one department to have a formal arrangement to participate in teaching and research activities in another department, but when a joint appointment is not necessary.
Adjunct Professor Appointment
Adjunct faculty appointments are part-time appointments granted to individuals who have some special professional skill or learning of value to the University but who are primarily engaged in the practice of their professions outside UBC or any other academic institution
Affiliate Faculty Appointment
Affiliate faculty members are individuals with faculty appointments at collaborating Universities who are involved in teaching and scholarly activities at UBC
Honorary Faculty Appointment
Appointments made in recognition of services rendered to a Faculty, Department, or School and are not normally held by individuals holding a faculty appointment at UBC or another academic institution.
Clinical or Academic Administrative Appointment
Additional administrative appointment for current active clinical or tenure-stream faculty member (e.g. Program Director, Division Head)
