Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Department of Medicine Awards Breakfast was hosted virtually (via Zoom) on June 4, 2020.
The UBC Department of Medicine’s Awards Breakfast is a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate faculty members and staff who have made notable contributions to the Department through education, research, mentorship, and administration. While we were unable to provide the “Breakfast” portion of our usual event due to physical distancing measures relating to COVID-19, it was a wonderful morning celebration for our faculty and staff nonetheless!
This year, we paid special tribute to Dr. Ric Arseneau (GIM) for his longtime contributions to ambulatory education curriculum design and delivery and to Dr. Amanda Hill (Geriatric Medicine) for all of her inspiring work over the years with the Department’s International Health Program.
