Spread #LocalLove this holiday season by becoming a donor for the United Way
The UBC Department of Medicine is pleased to announce our 2021 Holiday Donation Drive for the UBC United Way Campaign.
The Holiday Donation Drive will run from November 22, 2021, to December 31, 2021, and will replace the Department’s annual Festive Celebration Event.
The impact of COVID-19 has been especially challenging for individuals and families who are lonely and isolated and who suddenly find themselves underemployed, socially isolated, and hungry. As members of the UBC community, we can make a difference for our local communities by supporting the United Way of BC.
The 2021 UBC United Way Campaign marks the 45th anniversary of the campaign. In 2021, the UBC-wide campaign goal is to inspire 1,100 people to become donors. As one of the largest Departments at UBC with over 1,200 faculty and staff, the UBC Department of Medicine can certainly help UBC achieve this goal.
Our goal for the 2021 Holiday Donation Drive is to inspire 100 Department of Medicine members to become United Way donors
To kick off our 2021 Holiday Donation Drive, the Department will be making a donation to the UBC United Way Campaign on behalf of our faculty, staff, and learners, and we invite all UBC Department of Medicine members to join us and become a donor to help create a better future for our communities through the United Way of BC. Even the smallest donation can make a huge impact.
