- * The Stefan Grzybowski prize is awarded in honour of Dr. Stefan Grzybowski to the medical resident who gives the best research presentation at the UBC Internal Medicine Resident Research Day. It is given on the recommendation of the Head of the Respiratory Division at VGH in consultation with the Faculty of Medicine
- ** Dr. A. Dodek Outstanding Clinical and Ethical Performance in Cardiology Award is for a resident who intends to pursue a residency in Cardiology and who demonstrates excellence in clinical care, bedside manner/communication, and ethics
- *** The G.B. John Mancini Award is presented to a senior resident or fellow who has participated consistently and at a high level in the Resident Research Day through presentation of original research
- ^ Award for overall excellence in residency
- ^^Award for outstanding faculty teaching
- ^^^The Vancouver Notes Award is to promote and recognize excellence in medical education in the UBC Internal Medicine Program, the award “Vancouver Notes Award for Excellence in Medical Education” was created in 2023. At the direction of the award recipient, $500 will be donated to the UBC Internal Medicine program initiative of their choice.
