Data Privacy Week at UBC: January 25-29, 2021

Data Privacy Week @ UBC empowers all faculty, staff & researchers to respect privacy, safeguard data and enable trust.

International Data Privacy (IDP) Day occurs every year on January 28, and is an international effort to empower individuals and businesses to respect privacy, safeguard data and enable trust.

The National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) officially leads the Data Privacy Day campaign and is advised by a distinguished advisory committee of privacy professionals to help the campaign align with the most current privacy issues in a thoughtful and meaningful way.

With data privacy becoming more and more of a fundamental concern for UBC employees, each year the Privacy Matters @ UBC team spotlights data privacy with a week-long campaign that uses International Data Privacy Day as a springboard to expand upon how the IDP mandate affects UBC staff and faculty.
