Dr. Amin Kanani appointed Division Head, Allergy & Immunology

The Department of Medicine is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Amin Kanani as Head, Division of Allergy & Immunology effective January 1, 2021.

Dr. Kanani completed his BSc at McGill University in 1990 followed by his Medicine degree at McGill University in 1994. He then went on to complete a Clinical Immunology and Allergy Fellowship Training Program at the University of Toronto in June 2000.

He joined the Division of Allergy and Immunology at St. Paul’s Hospital in 2001 and is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine. He has held several leadership positions including President of the BC Society of Allergy and Immunology, Board of Directors for the Canadian Hereditary Angioedema Society, and Program Director for the UBC Allergy and Clinical Immunology training program. Dr. Kanani is a highly committed and valued member of the Division and the Department. We know that he will bring vision, leadership, and continued success to the UBC Division of Allergy and Immunology.
