Dr. Andrea Townson selected as recipient of the 2022 CAME Certificate of Merit Award

Congratulations to Dr. Andrea Townson (Division of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Medicine) who was selected for the Canadian Association for Medical Education (CAME) Certificate of Merit Award for 2022.

Each year, the CAME Certificate of Merit is awarded to three UBC Faculty of Medicine faculty members who have made a valuable contribution to medical education in the Faculty of Medicine.

Dr. Townson has served as the Associate Head, Education, for the Department of Medicine since 2015. Throughout her career, she has made significant contributions to the department through her roles on several university committees including the UBC Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency Training Program Committee and the Department of Medicine Equity Committee. Dr. Townson is also a dedicated Clinical Professor in the UBC Department of Medicine, Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She teaches medical students and residents on the spinal cord injury unit at GF Strong.
