Dr. Martha Spencer appointed Associate Program Director, Assessment and Remediation (DoM PGME)

It is with great pleasure that we announce the appointment of Dr. Martha Spencer as the Associate Program Director, Assessment and Remediation of the Department of Medicine’s Postgraduate Education Program effective October 15, 2018.

Dr. Spencer  is a Clinical Instructor in the Division of Geriatric Medicine.  She is currently pursuing her Masters of Health Education through McMaster University and is actively involved in the design and implementation of  Competency by Design for Geriatric Medicine.   Dr. Spencer brings extensive clinical teaching experience and  coaching of residents needing additional support to achieve their goals.  Her knowledge of the training program as a resident, fellow and preceptor provides the multiple perspectives valuable to assist with the challenges and opportunities facing the residents.

At this time we would also like to express our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Cary Cuncic as she leaves this role to accept the role of Year 3-4 Associate Director of Curriculum , Undergraduate Medical Education. Dr. Cuncic’s combined experience as Postgraduate Education Associate Director , Assessment and Remediation  and previous leadership roles within the Undergraduate Program  provides an excellent knowledge base as she continues to contribute to the continued improvement of the Undergraduate renewed curriculum.
