You are invited to complete the FLEX Advisor recruitment form for the 2023-2024 academic year.
Flexible Enhanced Learning (FLEX) consists of a longitudinal series of courses (MEDD 419/429/449) in Years 1, 2 and 4 of the UBC MD curriculum of the undergraduate medical program. FLEX provides students with opportunities to explore individual scholarly interests and enhanced learning opportunities in the broad context of medical training. FLEX Advisors work with/support an assigned group of 8-9 medical students in a FLEX course. (Note: If you are an Activity Supervisor (a different role than a FLEX Advisor) looking to advertise your project to FLEX students, you can submit your project here: FLEX Activity Proposal Form)
You can find descriptions of the FLEX Advisor positions attached:
- MEDD 419 (FLEX Year 1) – In person at LSC on campus for Sept 2023 and then online work for remainder of course
- MEDD 429 (FLEX Year 2) – All online work
- MEDD 449 (FLEX Year 4) – All online work
Please complete this RECRUITMENT FORM to indicate your interest being a FLEX Advisor for this academic year. Please note that completion of the form does not guarantee that teaching will be offered.
