Areas of
Focus
Dr. Chan-Yeung wanted to find out the cause of occupational asthma due to Western red cedar dust, how to prevent the disease, and determine whether there is any permanent disability due to occupational asthma after removal from exposure.
She conducted a study to determine whether asthma could be prevented by applying certain measures before birth such as avoidance of house dust mite, environmental tobacco smoke exposure, and delayed introduction of solid diet.
