Spread #LocalLove this holiday season by becoming a donor for the United Way
The UBC Department of Medicine is pleased to announce the launch of the 2020 UBC Department of Medicine Holiday Donation Drive for the UBC United Way Campaign. The 2020 Holiday Donation Drive will run from November 13, 2020, to December 31, 2020, and will replace the Department’s annual Festive Celebration Event.
It goes without saying that 2020 has been an incredibly challenging year for all of us – our lives have been impacted in ways we never could have predicted. The impact of COVID-19 has been especially challenging for individuals and families who are lonely and isolated and who suddenly find themselves underemployed, socially isolated, and hungry. As members of the UBC community, we can make a difference for our local communities by supporting the United Way.
The UBC United Way Campaign goal is to inspire 1,000 people to become donors. As one of the largest Departments at UBC with over 1,200 faculty and staff, we can help UBC achieve this goal while giving back to our communities. To support the University’s overall campaign goal, the UBC Department of Medicine’s 2020 United Way Holiday Donation Drive goal will be to inspire 250 department members to become donors.
The UBC Department of Medicine will be making a donation to the UBC United Way Campaign on behalf of our faculty, staff, and learners. We ask that you join us and become a donor to help create a better future for our communities through the United Way this holiday season.
