I hope that by doing research in the area of liver diseases, we can improve treatment uptake, improve patient quality of life and reduce the burden of liver diseases on the health care system.

Research Summary
My research interests lie in the area of liver diseases, such as viral hepatitis, autoimmune liver diseases and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. I am currently involved in projects looking at predictors and barriers to hepatitis C treatment, enhancing knowledge in liver diseases among primary care physicians, etc. I have also developed an interest in eosinophilic esophagitis and in the future, with the collaboration of a pediatric gastroenterologist and allergist, I hope to gain more insight into the natural history and treatment of this condition, plus enhance the transition of care from the pediatric to adult population.
