The UBC Data Science and Health (DASH) Research Cluster presents the third edition of their AI Meets Ethics Speaker Series, exploring the ethical implications of, and considerations for, implementing AI technologies into healthcare.

This session features Dr. Wendy H. Wong, a Professor of Political Science and Principal’s Research Chair at the University of British Columbia, Okanagan, and an award-winning author, to discuss the five key takeaways of her recently published book We, the Data: Human Rights in the Digital Age that ties AI and data to human rights.

Speaker Bio: Dr. Wendy H. Wong is a Professor of Political Science and Principal’s Research Chair at the University of British Columbia, Okanagan. She is an expert on global governance, emerging technologies, and human rights. Dr. Wong is the author of We, the Data: Human Rights in the Digital Age (MIT) and two other award-winning books: Internal Affairs: How the Structure of NGOs Transforms Human Rights and (with Sarah S. Stroup) The Authority Trap: Strategic Choices of International NGOs.
