On March 31, 2021, the UBC Faculty of Medicine officially launched Digital Solutions, formerly known as MedIT.
This new name and organizational change reflect a new mandate to provide Faculty-wide solutions to enable our strategic plan and support the vision of transforming health for everyone.
These changes are a result of the development of the Faculty of Medicine Digital Vision which describes how technology and technology delivery need to evolve in order to achieve the goals of the Faculty’s four strategic pillars.
Key Details:
- The MedIT Service Desk name and contact information will remain the same to avoid confusion for people looking for IT or videoconference support at 1.877.266.0666 or medit.servicedesk@ubc.ca.
- New support is available to navigate and complete UBC’s IT governance and project approval processes.
- Units considering investments that have a technology component are asked to contact dcio.medicine@ubc.ca for assistance.
- We are building our digital research capabilities through the establishment of a new data management team and data and analytics tools for the Faculty.
