UBC President Santa J. Ono: Statement on Anti-Asian Racism

To the members of the UBC Department of Medicine community:

We are also aware of heightened anti-Asian acts and words of hate in Vancouver and across this country since the beginning of the pandemic. All of us at the Department of Medicine strongly uphold President Ono’s recent message of solidarity with members of our Asian communities and re-affirm our commitment to combatting all forms of racism, discrimination, and hate, here and in the broader societies in which we live, study, and work.
